Sponsored by  Kravet and the American Society of Interior Designers, the competition pairs each competing team, comprised of students from the New York metropolitan area, with a design mentor, and challenges them to create a textile based on a  time period style and movement. which included Art Deco, Beaux Art,  Gothic Revival,  International, Modern, Neo Classical and  Renaissance Revival. Our period assigned was Beaux Art, the patterned created was our adaptation of the traditional ceiling pattern of this time. The symmetrical joining of linear and circle forms in a neutral palette. The digitally print fabric was enhance with a hatch pattern overlay placed on the design, to bring a woven appearance.
